Why am i given aripiprazole as sole therapy.Have i got schizophrenia or bi-polar?

i have been suffering from or diagnosed as having anxiety and depression for over 10 years. (26 years age)Yesterday, i went to another doc.Now, i am given ARIPIPRAZOLE as sole medication for my problem, NOT in conjunction with antidepressants!! But i dont have and NEVER had symptoms like delusions, hallucinations etc. Then why am i given aripiprazole which is mainly used for treating schizophrenia?? I am MORE depressed and anxious now then ever for being treated for schizophrenia. :-( I dont have any MANIC kind of thing either. Will aripiprazole lead me to having schiphrenia for REAL, if i keep taking it?? Or can it be that the diagnosis itself was wrong??If you think so, what should i do? THANK YOU.
